GRADE 2B (OPTIONAL C SECTION AT THE TOP), MEDIUM/SLOW PACE
A full-on camping weekend for a maximum of 14 people.
Friday: arrival, settle in and set up camp.
Saturday: we will drive to a neighbouring farm, and we’ll be dropped off at the start of the 4-hour Apex hike. The hike is an easy uphill to a plateau. Once on the plateau there are exciting rock formations to explore. Beautiful views of Southern Cederberg. At the top there is a final ascent to a beautiful cave (C graded). We'll have lunch and return the same way. For the afternoon there is swimming, relaxing and braaiing.
Sunday: we will do The Donkey Trail walk on the farm for about 2 hours. This is an uphill hike (2B). After a final swim, we'll pack up.
Cost: R560 per person, including the admin fee. There will also be a small contribution for the farmer's petrol for the transport to the Apex hike start.
Please do not pay for the weekend until you receive the invoice from the club.
No smoking on the hike.
