Membership enrolment and renewals

Annual membership


  • Adult membership: R330 (over 18)
  • Once off new member enrolment fee: R150
  • Dependants under 18: Free

    Annual membership renewal


    • Adult membership: R330 (over 18)
    • Invoices: Sent automatically 4 weeks before your payment is due.
    • Late payments: Missed deadlines trigger automatic membership suspension. Expired profiles are archived, and you must pay the R150 enrolment fee again to re-register.

      Non-members are welcome

       
      • Day hike/event: R100
      • Overnight hikes R100 per night, or become a member!
      • Dependants under 18: Free
      Please note, non-member fees are non-refundable.


      Membership application process

      • Create your profile: Click the "Become a member" button and fill in your details.
      • Photo upload: Have a digital passport-format photo ready to upload to your profile.
      • Approval and welcome letter: Once approved, you will receive an email with your membership number and renewal date. 
      • Membership card: Your digital card will appear in your online profile to save to your smartphone or print.
      • Minors: Under 18s do not receive cards and must always hike with a parent or guardian.

        Membership payment

        Memberships and renewals are only processed after receiving proof of payment.

        • Payment methods: Enrol first, receive your invoice, and pay via electronic funds transfers (EFT) or SnapScan.
        • SnapScan option: Simply scan the QR code on your invoice to pay.
