GRADE 2A+, MEDIUM PACE

Part 12/12: This is the final linking section taking us back to Signal Hill. We will do this by walking the contour path rather than the road, all the way along the front face of Table Mountain. Once at the end, we'll hop over the busy road intersection and continue along the path, past Lion's Head and along the Lion's Rump to our final point, the Signal Hill beacon. This walk takes us around 2 sides of the City Bowl, offering views of the end point at the beginning and of the start point at the end. It is about 8km of gently undulating path (except for the short, sharp ascent to the contour and the short, sharp descent from the contour). Car shuttling or Uber will be necessary.
About the 13 peaks: trail runner Ryan Sandes developed a circular route that covers 13 iconic peaks in Cape Town. We will complete the challenge over 7 months. All hikes are open to everyone, whether or not you are doing the challenge. Since not everyone will be available for every peak, Helen will set up a dedicated WhatsApp group for those doing the challenge to coordinate catch up hikes.
Please earmark the Sunday as an alternative hiking day in case of predicted poor weather on the Saturday.
