Enjoy a hike into history with a visit to the Waterworks Museum.Your journey begins with a steep ascent up the breathtaking (in more ways than one) Nursery Ravine. Founded in 1972 and situated next to the Hely-Hutchinson Reservoir, the museum contains various exhibits relating to the construction of the dams of Table Mountain including a beautifully restored narrow gauge steam engine. After lunch you will return via Ash Valley, past the Overseers Cottage and descend via Leafy Ravine.
Please earmark the Sunday as an alternative hiking day if poor weather is forecast on the Saturday.
Bookings open 2 months before the hike. Bookings close the Friday before the hike at 18h00. No smoking on the hike.
