GRADE 2C, SLOW PACE
This is a good opportunity for newer hikers to add this classic route up Table Mountain under the cable car with outstanding views to the north. The route is great for hikers who are looking to extend their scrambling abilities beyond a B+. There are some tough parts to scramble up, some exposure and at one point a step over. Having a head for heights is essential. Be prepared for a 700 m elevation gain. The descent will be via the Cable Car (R70 for over 60s, R280 for others).
Please earmark Sunday 20 September as an alternative hiking day if poor weather is forecast on the 13th September.
