The route starts halfway up Newlands Ravine from the contour path.  Once you get to the rock band, the climbing doesn’t stop. From here, it’s pretty much continuous scrambling and jumping over rocks to the top of the buttress which is a lot of fun. Scrambling experience and a good head for heights are required for this one. Descend via Newlands Ravine.
